Cat breeds differ not only in color and length of fur but also in behavior and personality. Much like people felines have are quite intelligent and have a mind of their own and are not afraid to use it. Some of the types of kitties that are found all over the world are the Burmese, Persian, Manx, Russian Blue, and Siamese.
The Burmese families come in a variety of colors from tortoiseshell to solid colors including silver platinum and honey beige. These kitties are extremely friendly and are extremely talkative to people and other animals. They love hanging out on a lap and playing with kitty toys.
The Russian Blue family is also a very affectionate feline. Another family that is quite intelligent they love to sit back and survey their surroundings including their human pets. Yes they believe they are the master and once they approve of you they will become eternally devoted. It will be very hard to break away when they want to play. But all the attention given is very worth the reward they give back.
The Persian families are generally long haired and have a very mellow personality. They have soft voices but tend to not use them. They also prefer the ground to higher places like tops of cupboards like other felines. With their long hair they need to be groomed once a day to keep their coats looking beautiful and preventing matting.
Manx felines have medium to large bodies. They have no tail due to genetics but that does not stop them from being extremely playful. They love to play fetch like a dog and have been known to bury their toys in the yard. Since these kitties are quiet by nature they prefer to communicate using a trill type of sound.
From the sleekness that they exude to the grace that they carry themselves with the Siamese is a beautiful kitty. This family is very affectionate and independent at the same time. They enjoy playing or just lying around relaxing. With the proper introductions they can get along great with other animals.
